Who We Are
Under the general direction of the City Administrator, Human Resources provides overall policy direction and execution on administrative support functions and HR management issues to all the City’s departments and employees. Policies, procedures, and programs to our departments with ensuring compliance with all governmental and legal bodies is HR’s dedication; designed to help a friendly, efficient workspace working for the citizens of Guadalupe.
Our mission is: To provide for the public welfare, health, and safety; preserve the tradition, opportunity, charm, and the heritage of the city; ensure positive stewardship of resources to enhance a healthy and viable community and promote the highest standards and values.
Human Resources also is responsible for coordination of recruitment and hiring of Guadalupe’s employees, administering the City’s classification and compensation system, providing training and professional development opportunities to its employees, along with coordinating unemployment compensation, family medical leave programs, and other policies and procedures.
The HR Department is located at 918 Obispo Street.
The Human Resources Department is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
